The GenericIAM business model |
|
Is GenericIAM an international organisation? Of course the modelling of generic IAM-Processes is not limited to Germany. It is to be considered rather as a ubiquitous task, occurring everywhere in the commercial world.
We started our activities on national level in Germany for practical reasons only. Hence we had German as our prime communication language. By spring 2007 we have switched to English as our sole communication and documentation language.
For our international expansion we maintain several contacts already (OASIS, enisa, …)
What is GenericIAM’s business model? We are a Group of volunteer unified by the common goal of establishing a generic model for the Processes of the Identity & Access Management. We are a not-for profit organisation. The benefits we expect to gain are the results of our work.
As we are organised as a competence center of the NIFIS , we recommend our, to become members of the NIFIS too. Except this contribution each member covers its own costs, e.g. for participating in the meetings
Additionally we need sponsors to support our work. Sponsoring companies are expected to b e recruited out of our members. But they are by no means restricted to them.
Sponsorships can be taken for Hosting of Meetings, providing and supporting our Intranet and Web site and other non-monetary subsidiaries. But financial support is welcome too. It would enable us to issue modelling assignments in order to speed up our work.
Once a year the Modelling results the will be published with year as a postfix to the name, e.g. GenericIAM2007. GenericIAM members will have free access to these documents. To other interested parties we will them via a Web Shop at a non-discriminating price.
