Being positioned at the interface of business and technical functions the Identity & Access Management is one of the key disciplines of any corporate security architecture. 

The "National Initiative for Information Security" (NIFIS e.V. ) in turn is a group formed by enterprises in order to mutually support each others while dealing with the security threats of a networked economy.

The Initiative GenericIAM by its grassroots nature fits perfectly to the NIFIS approach of mutual empowerment. Since 2006-12-01 we therefore operate as the NIFIS competence center Identity Management .
